Rebates
One program pays most of an attic job here, and it has conditions.
For a Dominion Energy South Carolina customer whose house is heated by electricity, Home Energy Check-up Plus covers 90% of the bill for attic insulation, air sealing and duct sealing, capped at $2,880, for jobs completed by March 31, 2027. It is the largest insulation offer in the three counties, and it runs through the program's own approved contractor, not through us. If your house qualifies, use it.
Everywhere else the money is thinner. Berkeley Electric and Coastal Electric lend rather than rebate, Santee Cooper pays toward new ductwork but not insulation, and the state's federal Home Energy Rebates have not opened. We find out which utility serves the address before quoting and tell you what its program asks for.

Dominion Energy South Carolina
90%
of attic insulation, air sealing and duct sealing, up to $2,880, through March 31, 2027. For electrically heated homes using 10.45 kWh or more per square foot each year; the free Home Energy Check-up comes first, and the program's own contractor does the work.
Berkeley Electric Cooperative
5% loan
HomeAdvantage lends up to $20,000 for insulation, air sealing and duct work, repaid on the power bill after an energy audit, for members of at least twelve months. A loan, not a rebate, with a lien on the property.
Federal 25C
Ended Dec. 31, 2025
The 30% Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit is not available for work placed in service in 2026. Anyone still quoting it as part of your price is quoting something that no longer exists.
